Mark Smith: Biography
New IT devices and the systems they
are used in is something I've been researching, building and writing
about for a long time. Before coming to the KTH I was on the
research staff of Hewlett Packard Laboratories
in Palo Alto, California in the USA. While there I worked on very
challenging and fun technology projects, and got a
very good idea of how the combination of technology research, and
business practice result in new products and opportunities.
Just before coming to the KTH I spent 3 semesters as a
visiting faculty member at the Georgia Institute of Technology
in Atlanta, Georgia USA. Like the KTH, this is a world
class university focused on basic and applied research, and are
interested in how their research results can be turned into
applications, products and businesses. My CV
