Qiu, Min, Professor
Min Qiu received the B.Sc. degree from the Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, in 1995, and the Ph.D. degree in Condensed Matter Physics from the same university in 1999. He received his second Ph.D. degree in Electromagnetic Theory from Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm, Sweden, in 2001. In 2001 he joined the Department of Microelectronics and Applied Physics, at the same university, as an Assistant Professor. He became an associate professor in 2005, and a full professor (Professor of Photonics) in 2009. He is the recipient of the Individual Grants for the Advancement of Research Leaders (INGVAR) from the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research (SSF) in 2004. He is also currently holding a Senior Researcher Fellowship from Swedish Research Council.

Dr. Yan, Min
Min Yan obtained his PhD degree in electrical engineering from the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, in 2006. He was a research engineer in NTU from 2005 to 2006. From 2006 to 2008, he was a postdoc with the Photonics and Microwave Engineering (FMI) in the School of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden. From 2008 to 2009, he stayed with DTU Fotonik, or the Department of Photonics Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark, as a postdoc. Currently he is an assistant professor specialized in nanophotonics with FMI/KTH. He works on light interaction with microstructured and nanostructured materials.

Dr. Hao, Jiaming
Jiaming Hao received his B.S. degree from the Physics Department of Anhui University, Hefei, China in 2002, and his Ph.D. degree in theoretical Physics from Fudan University, Shanghai, China in June 2008. In September 2008 he joined the Department of Photonics and Microwave Engineering, Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden, as a postdoc. His research interest are in the area of the wave-function materials, including theoretical/modeling study of artificial electromagnetically/optical metamaterials, surface plasmon polaritons, etc.

Dr. Liu, Hairong
Hairong Liu received her B.S. degree and M. S. degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), China, in 1997 and 2000 respectively. She obtained her PhD degree in electrical engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, in 2005. Since 2005 she has been an associate professor in HUST. Currently she is a visiting researcher with the Laboratory of Photonics and Microwave Engineering, KTH. Her main research interests are nanostructure-based waveguides and devices.

Wang, Jing
Jing Wang received both B.S. and M.S. degree from Xiamen University, China, in 2004 and 2007, respectively. She is currently a Ph.D. student at Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm, Sweden. Her research interests are silicon based devices and metamaterials, including design, fabrication and characterization.

Yan, Wei
Wei Yan was born in Jiangsu, China, in 1983. He received the B.S. degree and M.S. degree in 2005 and 2007, respectively, from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. degree. at Royal Institute of Technology (KTH). His current research interests include light relativity, periodic material EM property, and plasmonics.

Li, Qiang
Qiang Li was born in 1982, in China. He received both the B.S. Degree and M.S. Degree in Harbin Institute of Technology in China. In Sep 2007, he started his doctoral study in Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China. In Sep 2008, he shifted to Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Sweden to continue his doctoral study. His research interest mainly focuses on silicon photonics.
