Opponent

Don't forget you have to find an opponent for your defense and you have to serve as opponent yourself. To get in contact with potential opponents and defendants, this mailing list exjobbsinfo@imit.kth.se is extremely useful; check out the instructions to subscribe to the mailing list.

An opponent is expected to

1. read your thesis critically;

2. be present at your defense;

3. prepare at least 4 questions to be asked after your presentation

4. provide an oral assessment of the thesis and enumerate the weak and strong points of the work;

5. provide in a written form suggestions for clarification and improvements and mark grammatical and semantic errors in the thesis (this is usually done by writing directly in the manuscript and serves as input for you to improve the thesis).
